The Mutual Fund Rap

I gave all my money to my local broker
I said, "Keep it safe, now.  Don't go playin' poker.
You can hold my money for a while, but then
I expect it to quadruple by the year 2010!"
But then the markets in Asia were falling apart
The ripple effect at home did quickly start
Decline in the value of my equity shares
They promised me "Da Bulls" but delivered "Da Bears!"
So I watched with alarm at the markets' unfolding
And increased the T-Bills and Bond Funds I was holding
'Till the interest rates dropped; I was smiling once more.
I used to be a customer, but now I own the store!
So lead with your mind, and follow with your heart.
Don't overreact to every false start
'Cause mutual fund investing needs a long term horizon
Just keep your head & stay the course - you're profits will be risin'!
I do the Mutual Funds, I do the Mutual Funds
I've got to minimize risk, and maximize gain
I do the Mutual Funds, I do the Mutual Funds
A higher Net Worth I will attain!
